THE BLENDING OF STORY WITH DESIGN
I am a photographer based in Denver, Colorado, who brings a foundation in design, architecture, medicine, technology and the human story to every project I undertake.
I originally studied to become an architect, throughout high school and in the program founded by Mies van der Rohe at the Illinois Institute of Technology. However, I found that my vocation lay in creating photographic images.
I first worked as a photographer and eventually Director of Audio-Visual Services at the Children's Memorial Hospital in Chicago, working with health professionals and patients in producing both scientific documentation and human stories about the hospital's mission.
Returning to school for a Masters in Visual Communication, I then practiced as a photojournalist, graphic designer and graphics editor for newspapers from the Caribbean to Colorado.
The key element that ties my work together is gesture and movement - whether human gestures in time, structural gestures in space or the intellectual gestures that define an idea.
